The Stoney Creek Junior Cougars organization is a competitive youth football & cheer program focused on providing 7-11 year-old boys and girls in Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Township and the Northern Oakland County area and beyond with a safe, fun & competitive environment to learn the basics of football & cheer. 2024 REGISTRATION SEASON AT A GLANCE
A firm schedule will not be posted until later in the Spring, the below is for general planning purposes only:

Summer Camps for football and cheer are part of the registration cost and is not mandatory, but is highly recommended for player development for BOTH football and cheer

Football Summer camp normally starts the 3rd week of July and is 3 days a week from 6pm to 8pm for 2 weeks with a 3rd week of camp running the full week

Historically the 3 days of the week for the first two weeks of camp are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to accommodate summer vacation plans and long weekends.

The last week of Summer camp for football will be either 4 or 5 days (based on coaches availability) and goes from 6pm to 8pm and is typically the last week of July before the season starts. The last week of July this year is the week of July 29th
- Summer Camp for Cheer is CURRENTLY only planned for that last week of July and is Monday through Thursday. This could be altered and families will be notified
- The first week of the regular season and practice for both football and cheer will begin August 5th; this is a full week of practices (5 days) from 6pm to 8pm. These practices are mandatory; missed days could affect player readiness that could result in reduced playing time at the scrimmage and possibly game 1.

Our Annual scrimmage game, held at Oxford High School, will be held on Sunday, August 18th; time(s) to be communicated in August

Team photos and individual photos will be held Saturday, August 17th at Stoney Creek High School. Alternate dates will NOT be provided

Game 1 will be the weekend of August 24th. Game locations and times will not be posted in TeamSnap until August when communicated from our parent league; the NYFL
- Prior to game 1 the practice schedule will be reduced to 4 days a week and it runs Tuesday to Friday from 6pm to 8pm
- Practice schedule will be changed from 6pm to 8pm to 5:30 to 7:30 after school begins
- As daylight diminishes further alterations to practice time will occur and be communicated in TeamSnap
- Labor Day Weekend there NYFL and SCJC will not have any games scheduled. Practice will not be held the Friday prior to Labor Day weekend. Coaches are have approval from SCJC to hold practice Monday to Thursday prior to Labor Day to not lose a day of preparation. This will be communicated by each coach via TeamSnap
